Hazem Ubaissi, MD, joined the Optum-Medical Center Point team in May of 2020. Dr. Ubaissi earned his medical degree from the Medical School of Aleppo University in 2002. He moved to Washington DC afterward where he concluded his training in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at George Washington University. He was voted the fellow of the year for the department of medicine on two consecutive years during his training. Dr. Ubaissi looks forward to providing the best standard of care to his patients with pulmonary or sleep disorders in Colorado Springs. Dr. Ubaissi appreciates the unique mutual trust the patient-physician relationship entails and he cherishes the personal relationship he develops with his patients and their families over the years. When Dr. Ubaissi is not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his two young kids, running, cycling, swimming and exploring the outdoors of Colorado Springs.
