Dr. McManaman comes to us with a plethora of medical experience in both the civilian and military spaces. After receiving her medical degree, she went on to complete her residency with the U.S. Army at Martin Army Community Hospital. She was a battalion surgeon in Iraq and has extensive experience with veterans and active duty personnel, particularly in treating chronic pain, service-related depression and/or anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations.
She is also a highly decorated veteran and has received multiple commendations for her military service including two Bronze Star medals, two ARCOM awards, Combat Medical Badge, and Combat Action Badge.
Dr. McManaman also has experience in treating LGBTQ+ related medical issues such as HIV, AIDS, gender dysphoria and more.
When it comes to her patients, she believes in treating the whole patient. She works with patients to develop a treatment plan that best suites their needs and goals. Dr. McManaman is described as friendly, a good listener, and proactive. When she's not treating patients, she can be found practicing Taekwando, swimming, practicing Yoga, reading, cross stitching, or painting.
