Our medical group has proudly served the Pikes Peak region for over 70 years!

Dr. Farkas’ training and experience in the US Army includes Combat Operations out of Kirkuk Air Base in Iraq, as well as Expeditionary Medical Hospital Training and Combat Casualty Care. He joins Optum’s team of Family Medicine providers at the East location to provide the same quality care to his patients in Colorado Springs as he delivered to his patients under his care during his military career. When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Farkas enjoys skiing and other outdoor activities such as scuba diving and golf.

7/8/2022 As I said earlier he is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. Normally doctors are in and out of the office as quickly as possible with patients but Dr Farkas is not like that. He is empathetic and compassionate and thoughtful and analytical and I couldn't be any happier than I am.
7/8/2022 I was being screened for a surgical release and Dr Farkas found out that I was having kidney issues through blood work. He researched my medications and realized that one of my medications was causing my kidney issues. He called me one evening on his own time and discussed with my about stopping the medicine and waiting a week and redoing blood work. A week later my kidney levels were better and I was able to be cleared for surgery! Not to mention I was a new patient to him at this time... I feel like he has went above and beyond from the time I have started seeing him. He's a really good Dr!

He has always treated us with respect and never rushed us no matter how busy he has been. I really appreciate this habit from my doctors, I never mind waiting on a doctor as long as he or she doesn't rush my appointment, and this is the treatment we both receive from Dr Farkas.
