Our medical group has proudly served the Pikes Peak region for over 70 years!
Kari Eckman, DO joined the Urgent Care team at Optum in 2019. She earned her medical degree at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL in 2006. She then completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI in 2010. Dr. Eckman has over 10 years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care.
Dr. Eckman is looking forward to helping care for her local community members when they are sick and feeling at their worse. Her goal is to treat her patient’s safely while trying to keep them out of the emergency room and to help maintain a comprehensive facility where Optum patients can feel confident they are receiving the best possible care.
When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four young children. She has a passion for photography and enjoys spending time outside, both near the water and in the mountains. She would love to travel in the future and eventually rebuild her 1969 Firebird that she has had since high school.
