COVID-19 TESTING

During these challenging times we wants to assure you that we are here to support you and that means proving safe and quality evaluations and testing for COVID-19 related symptoms.  

In order to serve our community while also maintaining safety and protective measure we have a single Optum site dedicated to evaluating and seeing those with COVID-19 related symptoms and concerns, at our Optum - Roundhouse location.

HOURS

Adult Evaluation Hours 

Mon. - Fri., 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Sat., 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Sun., 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Holiday hours vary, please call for hours. 

 

Pediatric Evaluation Hours 

For all pediatrics patients we have a dedicated pediatrician to see children.

Mon. - Fri., 7:30 am - 5:00 p.m.

 


REQUIREMENTS

We are only testing symptomatic patients. This means if you have any of the following symptoms, we will perform a test:

  • Fever greater than 100.4
  • Body chills 
  • New/changed headache
  • New/changed cough
  • New/changed body aches
  • New sore throat 
  • New/changed difficulty breathing 
  • New/changed diarrhea 
  • New loss of tastes or smell

RESULTS

All of our tests are run through a lab for evaluation to determine if you are COVID-19 positive or negative.  We do not offer rapid test results, where you would get results same-day.  Once our care team receives your results we will contact you as soon as possible.  

 


BILLING

We will code and bill your encounter per the correct coding guidelines and then submit your claim to your insurance carrier. During this pandemic, we have been in close contact with major insurance plans to ensure that we are aware of the most recent updates on how insurance carriers are processing COVID-19 related claims.

 

Most of the major carriers have waived patient cost sharing responsibilities. This means you might not have to pay a copay. In some cases, depending upon the plan, this might mean you won’t have to meet your deductible before the claim will be paid by the insurance.  If you are unsure, you should contact your insurance carrier using the member services phone number on the back of your card.
